Syllabus

  • Attachment of earning orders and student loans: assessing AEOs and applying them to employees, student loans and how to activate them, processing attachments, post update attachments and additional information on AEOs
  • Statutory sick pay: accessing SSP legislation and SSP/holiday working patterns, global changes, average weekly earnings, working patters, employee record (diary entry), entering payments and updating the absence diary
  • Statutory maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental pay: small employer’s relief, overview of statutory payments, recording SPP, SAP and ShPP and recording methods, processing overview, accessing YTD values and payslips
  • Pay review and variance settings: salary reviews, applying a review and accessing the ‘Variance Settings’
  • Holiday schemes: working day patterns, national holidays, assigning holiday schemes globally, recording holiday using ‘Diary Entry’ and reporting on holidays 
  • EPS and Payroll data inspection: purpose of the EPS, submitting and correcting the EPS, producing the P32 and submitting reports to HMRC
  • Historical reporting: accessing historical data and the Payment Summary History (parts 1 and 2), payment summary part 3 and additional historical reports 
  • Editing payslips: accessing reports and editing payslip layouts, locating variables, sorting payslips, changing report titles, email payslips and reports and securing email payslips
