    Sage 50 Accounts – Stage 3 is the third instalment in our series of Sage 50 Accounts training courses. It is an interactive online course that teaches you how to do even more with Sage 50 Accounts. From processing VAT returns to managing credit control, Sage 50 Accounts – Stage 3 covers a multitude of day-to-day and advanced processes in depth. Armed with the knowledge this course provides, you will be well on your way to becoming a skilled user of Sage 50 Accounts. 
     

    Who is this course for?
    The course is designed for students that have already completed our Sage 50 Accounts – Stage 2 course and want to continue their study. It is also suitable for users of Sage 50 Accounts who are familiar with many of software’s features and functions but wish to start really honing their knowledge and skills. 
     

    What will you get from this course?
    Sage 50 Accounts – Stage 3 unlocks more of Sage 50 Account’s potential. You’ll be able to use the software for a greater amount of processes and will feel confident using Sage 50 Accounts. The course will also prepare you to take your study further with our Sage 50 Accounts – Stage 4 course, for example, which teaches you to become an Accounts expert.

    • Understand the difference between VAT procedures in the UK and Ireland

    • Credit control reporting: customer defaults, ageing periods, chase debt, aged reports (retrospective and other credit control reports), aged creditors analysis, customer invoices and supplier reports 
    • Credit control documentation and communication: customer statements and letters, email statements and communications history 
    • Credit control management: disputed transactions and reporting them, account status, VAT recovery on bad dept and bad dept write-off 
    • Cash flow forecast: including transactions, manual entries and viewing forecasts
    • Financial reporting: audit trail, trial balance, chart of accounts, profit and loss (including comparative), balance sheets, batch reports, period figures and ratio reports 
    • Departments and budgets: department activity and reports, standard and advanced budgeting and budget reports
    • Microsoft Excel integration: Excel integrated reporting and additional Sage options
    • Bank reconciliation: reconciling the bank (sorting and matching transactions, plus adding adjustments), bank reports and bank feeds 
    • Fixed assets: fixed asset categories and register, asset reporting and disposal and post depreciation 
    • Prepayments and accruals: setting up and posting prepayments and accruals, reversing journals and the nominal ledger effect 
    • VAT return (UK): producing and checking VAT returns, scale charges, VAT verification and transfer, nominal accounts and EC Sales list 
    • VAT return (Ireland): same as above 
    • Year end: future transactions, posting late transactions, clearing the audit trail, archiving data and deleting unwanted records

    At the conclusion of each module there is a multiple choice question assessment. This will help you remember the main points of the lesson and act as a check that you have retained the essential knowledge and understanding of that particular section. The results can be seen instantaneously and you can correct wrong answers. When the result is satisfactory you can progress to the next module.
