About This Course
We have all seen the signs on the backs of bottles, warning us that something is hazardous. But what actually is a hazardous substance? Why are they so bad? And what should you do if you encounter one in the workplace? COSHH Essentials will answer these questions, plus more. COSSH Essentials is an online introductory course to the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulation (COSHH). It covers the essential information you need to know about hazardous substances and COSHH, so that you can protect yourself, and others, in a work environment.

Who is this course for?

This online course is designed for anyone who may come into contact with chemicals and other hazardous substances during their time at work. This includes employees, employers and safety representatives. COSHH Essentials is also suitable for anyone who wants a comprehensive introduction to the COSHH regulation.

What will you get from this course?

You will understand how people can be exposed to hazardous substances and what the risks are of this. You’ll also understand the key principles of COSHH and be able to implement certain measures to minimise the dangers that harmful substances pose.
